dang nut
Well I finally got my new sprockets in...ended up with Vortex cuz the JT's were back ordered and I couldnt wait any longer...well I went to put them on today, and I couldnt even freakin budge the nut in the back...tried for a good 15 minutes, tried everything I could think of(yes I took the pin out and loosened the adjustments) so I just said the hell with it, put the new pin back in tightened everything up and went riding lol. Now I have to prolly take it someplace to get done, really didnt wanna spend the money to do it, but oh well.
If anyone has any tips that might help getting the nut loose, let me know, I appreciate it!! |
RE: dang nut
hummm... try spraying it down with wd-40 or somthing of the same type to help break it loose. It should come of... with a liitle more elbow grease.

RE: dang nut
are you talking about the rear axel nut? goto like autozone or advanced or whatever you have around you, and buy a a breaker bar. Its probably less than 20 bucks and will be your best friend for years to come.

RE: dang nut
Yea a breaker bar and if it is still giving you trouble go the home depot and get a 48" or 72” long 1' black gas pipe cost 10 bucks maybe. Then slide it on to the breaker bar and you get some serious leverage.

RE: dang nut
