Default Common sense VS. Book smarts???

So im helping my mom move into her new place. As we leave to go get her couch i noticed some dog poo on the sidewalk in front of the door. I asked her to do SOMETHING about it. Now, let me add that my mother is a phsycologist with her masters degree. When i come back with her MONSTRO THE WHALE COUCH i notice that in place of the poop is a LARGE rock. thats right friends a ROCK!!! So after we maneuver this thing in the door and put it down i asked her why she put the rock there on top of the poopy, and this is what she told me. YOU READY? YOU SITTING DOWN? She told me that she put the rock there so that i would see the crap and not step in it!!!! So instead of me just stepping in it, Ill step on the rock, break my ankle, fall in the poop, then drop the couch in the poo is that what your saying??? Anywho thats the story of my moms lack of thought. Post similar stories.
