Default Chicken Strips

I was at a local bike gathering and noticed not many rider get all the way over on there tires. Just wondering how many use all there tires, or how much is unscrubed ? In my area there is a lot of good roads to run. But most riders have about 1/2" to 1" chiken strips.

I have a 180/55/17 rear tire and my M1 sport tech has 1/4 inch on each side but we dont have a lot of curves here. I also noticed alot of guy's with the same size rear tire had big strips at our gatherings but not all can lay it down that low. I constanly rubing my left toe and peg. But realy on the street it is not the wisest to go that low . Oil , gravel , and so many other things. At a closed course I go all the way to the edges no strips at all

Age doesn't give you wisdom. I'm proof. ZX10R I'v goten to the edge. Z1R only gets worn in the center. Bad thing about a lowered bike BUT it looks cool.

Adjustable rearsets? Hrrmmm... Maybe I need to get off the wallet a little. My chickenstrips are currently about 1/2 to 1 inch. I am just getting over shoulder surgery and am a little scared to lean it too far right now...[X(]

I'm around a 1/2" also....I'm with you Remo, I need to find more twisties. That and I'm about to raise my bike back up to stock, so maybe I'll be able to take my corners and everthing a little bit lower. :-) It's kinda hard with it being lowered, I have to use more of my arms than I normally would.

So in other words, if I'm running a Dunlop 200 tire and only 1/2 inch off the edge is NOT being worn, would you say I'm getting pretty low in corners and my chicken strips are very small ...lol?
