I just got back from my local motorcycle store and I bought a new front stand for the bike. I tried out the stand when i got home and first of all when putting into the hole on the frame it starts hitting the wheel fairing. Then when I try to lift up the bike the stand starts to push up on the nose of the fairing.

Am I doing this wrong or does this rack just suck? Has anyone else had problems like this?

 

I have not tried the BVP brand nor have I seen them. Do they require the correct pin for your ride?

 

yeah they do, i got the pin and it fits. i guess it's just my lockhart phillips rear stand that really blows. i should've bought the one with pins. -_-

 

When I hear pins, I think of the headstock and not the swingarm spools.

 

how close is close ? my vortex hits while putting the pin in then gets really close untill your ready to lift it. post some pics

 

did it also recamend to not use the front stand unless its on the rear stand ? if you do this it gets all funky in the front and bad things happen.
