Anybody good with computer networking/security?
I find this strange. My computer network was wireless except for my desktop, and the original Xbox. The roommates computer used wireless, the PS3 and Wii were also on the wireless network. A couple days ago, my roommate's wireless network card started acting up, so I bought a wired workgroup switcher to go between my router and all the other networked computers. When I was on my roommates computer making sure everything worked correctly, I saw this network name I have never seen before named Alicia (Aliciaharms). Wondering how anybody could have cracked my 24 digit WPA2 key, I decided to go completely wired. I turned off the WiFi, and reset my password. But still, I found Alicia in my network. Nothing happens when I try to access "her" network, it just comes up blank. Any super nerds know what's going on? Possible virus?
I know a fair share about computers, but I have no idea how this network user could have gotten on my network. |
