Default 4th of july bike trip :)

I wasn't planning to take the bike up north, because dad needed me to bring some stuff, but while packing up the car Slavik offered up his ST1300. How could I turn it down? So I traded bike keys and managed to strap everything I needed on board and in the saddlebags and came up last night. Left my place at 10pm, arrived at dad's at 4:30.

It was a perfect night for riding, except the last 25 miles which were in the rain - but aside from a little bit on the elbows - I was dry. After doing this long of a ride with this bike - all I can say is that it is one awesome machine, especially for miles. Extremely smooth and effortless to ride. Slavik put a small amp and speakers on it as well, so with the ipod hooked up, I was all set. After this ride - I like this thing even more than I did beforehand, and it WILL be in my garage in September - if I decide to give it back to him after I return this weekend You will all have to try it.

This morning I went out to the old air base and got some shots similar to the ones I took last year with my bike... so here you go:

Nice. I would really like to get a bike like that in the future. I don't think I will ever be without a sportbike, but some days I would rather cruise than tear it up on the streets.

Well, in Sept I am buying this bike from him, and I will have both that and the ZX9.

I still am not the biggest fan on the ST's looks. Glad that you found it to be comfortable for your road time.

The angles I'm seeing, it looks good to me drag, but black tends to hide some of the detail. I like it, I really want a sport tourer, but the 7 suits me fine for now.

I am nowhere close to being a mole. Neither one of those bikes sees so much as sand in the intersections, let alone anything offroad. Street and miles, baby. When it comes to offroad - give me a quad.
