Dude, I have never ridden a snowmobile in my life! I thought you lived way down south? So why are you worried about snowmobile riding?

i wouldn't say i have ridden them a lot...but i have ridden them. and i learned and ride mostly in the sand which from what i understand is really the hardest to control a bike in.

and thanks to everyone, i will most likely go with the 600 or the zx6r, depending on which ones i find on craigslist that seem to be reasonably priced as well as a reliable seller.

Yo...tsarp90...why not join us moles and ride a dual sport....go anywhere type of fun....if ya can ride sand ... shoot ya can ride anything....what about a ktm 640....I'm prejudiced because I own one ...... but the grin that bike puts on my cheeks makes em sore for a week....just sayin

i have a zx6r ... a '95 (basicly the zzr only older style) but i still get in the 40's

but then again mine is almost 20 years old and i have yet to get it tuned.

40 mpg? When I ride my 14 and dont flogg it everywhere I go, it gets around 38 mpg with over twice the displacement of a 600......WTF?? But I have had the average mpg readout display 12 mpg when I am running it through the quarter mile so it can really eat gas when you lay into it! I dont know if that was an accurate reading under the circumstances, but it was pretty intresting just the same.

part of why I want the buell - liter bike that gets up to 65mpg and carves like a 600
