09 Vulcan 1700 Owners
Any Vulcan 1700 owners out there??? Lookin' for a long hauler and would like to hear about your impressions of it :D:D:D
Hey Odie, I thought you were looking at Ultra's!
I saw a Vulcan that looks very comparable...the Kawi has more hp and torque...about 3 grand less...but I'm sure it doesn't have the resale of the HD...not that we would be selling it...
Well really Harleys are not good investments because if you buy a new one, you are still going to lose money on them. But I was thinking that the adjustable air ride and the seat would be better for DG's back.
I hear the seat on the Kawi is a little high in the rear so you don't get the full benefit of the back cushion...I would like to ride both for a couple of hundred miles with DG to see which one is the best...

Man if you were here you guys could ride mine. Buy I have taken a lot of women on long road trips, and beleive me, you need all the trunk space you can get with a chick. And the rear seat on the Ultra is second to none except maybe a Goldwing. I cannaot imagine a Vulcan being even close to the comfort that can be had on an Ultra or a Wing. And of course I am allergic to Gold Wings! Do Vulcans have the huge rear seats like an Ultra?
A friend of mine mentioned that his wife and him preferred the yami star over the others as far as comfort went. Other than that, I do not know.
