Default KLR 250 tires

I'm having a hard time locating a D.O.T. compliant knobby tire for the rear 4.60-17. Any ideas?
Will a 5.10-17 fit?
Thanks

See if you can find a 120/80-17 DOT knobby. I don't know if there are any. I'd stay away from a tire as fat as a 5.10, it will bog the engine far easier than a narrower tire. I run a 4.10-18 on the back of my KLX250, because it is lighter, lower cost, and allows me to break the back tire loose when I want or need to do so. Much easier on the clutch. Pirelli lists an MT21 in a 120/80-17.
