Default '05 kx250f lied down won't start?

Hi All,

I'm new to the sport and can't figure out how to start after lying down for awhile. My son had a problem and no tree to rest so I lied it down. 20min I could get it started. I tried on and off for 40min just about gave myself a heart attack. After finally pushing half way up hill I was able to jump start. Stated fine after words. Need help with starting after bike has been lying down. Thanks

Lean the bike against a rock or tree and do not lay it on its side because it will flood the engine.

Welcome to KF

Install an after market kickstand. They are less than a hundred bucks. Those triangle stands suck for those of us who are just riders and don't have a crew to service our bikes after each race/run. :-)
