In my area on craigslist there is a 2000 zx9r for $2800, please tell me if this would be a good deal or not, appearently the only problem he listed was a shot battery, it is repainted, new tires, and 18,XXX miles i think... would this be a good deal or should i skip it?

 

That's like asking if a 2000 model ford taurus for 2 grand is a good deal. It all depends. If the bike has been taken care off, etc, than yeah. Good deal. Batt is shot so he must not ride a lot? Why not?

Is it possible to see the old tires? Is the frame bent? Chain and sprockets in good shape? What air pressure does he run in the tires? What kind of oil? How often changed? How long has this person had bike? When was the last time valves where checked? etc...Just all the standard questions.

I like the 9s ...awesome bikes. Can you give us more info on the bike?
