Default Wiring Harness Problem

I have an '01 Ninja ZX9r engine I am using for a kit car project. Anyway, the wiring harness is in sad shape, pretty badly cut/ hacked etc. I found some wiring harnesses on eBay listed for 98-99 models. Can I usea '99 on the '01 engine? I just need it to control the engine/ gauges. Car isn't going to be street legal, so if the anciallaries don't work, I don't care so much. Thanks!

I would think it would be close enough to use. Will want to verify that the colors match the schematic, and test during the shake down.

Ok, I will try it. The worst that can happen is that it doesn't work, and I have to resell it. Hopefully someone else can chime in.
