Hey every one it's about that time to change my tires and I found a brand called shinko never heard of them before and was looking for reviews and all i found out was that there made in Korea and is a branch off Yokohama its a good deal for a set at $181.00 shipped i want some info before i purchase them any experience feedback with these tires would be great thanks

 

wheel, I don't know anything about them. Not sure of your riding style, but I've found over the 10 years I've had my zx9 that the '94-'97 models (being a bit on the heavy side) tend to burn through tires pretty quickly. I've run Dunlop Qualifiers and also a 220 on the rear, and just wasn't impressed at all with tire life. I'm not hard on tires; I don't ride hard or push them to their traction limits. I've been looking at the Continental Road Attack tires to try next, based on their tire life claims. I suspect the Shinko tires may be a good bargain, but I've always been leery of off-brands, simply because typically their quality control is usually less than that of the big boys. Not sure about you, but I don't like surprises at 80mph or in the curves.
If you DO get the Shinko's, give us some feedback on them. We always need good "product reviews" because it helps all of us. Seriously, let us know what you get and how you like them.

 

It is a good brand. New brand but give quality products.

 

i dont have them my self but all my stunter buddies run them because of their hard compound so depending on your riding style this may be a good or a bad thing

 

Ive been running them for a good 3k now I am usually an aggressive rider I love pushing the limits and these tires hold up surprisingly well , the shinkos has pretty good tire wear I was running a 180 Michelin pilots in the rear before but with the shinko i went a size bigger and put a 190 on the back i feel like i can lean and take curves way better I push these tires as far as they'll possible go and there tony the tiger great haha affordable great quality tire try them out you wont be disappointed thats my 2 cent lol

 

wow, the shinko has improved it seems. They were primarily a cheap dirt bike tire and drag strip tire. I still will not use them on the track though at this time.

 

On my 03 Vulcan Classic 1500 I was riding on a www Metzler ME 880. They were ok.but didnt last as long as other brands..including the stock boots. I went DS at the rear with a Hankook car tire 195/60/16 and a wide white wall Shinko 777 in front. I drive pretty hard..the Shinko and the Hankook were definetly made for each other. I paid $86.00 for the fronr Shinko and $73.00 for the rear car tire and $17.00 for each tube as I have spoked rims. I will definetly buy another Shinko 777 when this one needs to be replaced. Metzlers are truly over priced and over rated in my opinion.
