anybody know where i could get a hold of a black seat cowl pretty cheap?

Either Ebay or your local dealership.
Let's face it: anyone who got one, paid the dealership extra for it. If they aren't selling their bike, chance are they want to keep it.
You're probably stuck buying it OEM from a Kawasaki dealership (or from bikebandit.com) like the rest of us hapless b@$t@rds.
