well sam it sounds like your in a bad position. you need to get your bike out of there.to do that your probably going to pay for it. at least something. you have to maintain your composure and negotiate a price(even though you despise the thought)to get your bike out of there.if you know any cops that are willing to go with you or talk to your local police about itbefore you go. if that doesn't work, last resort, meet with an attorney and get them to writethe shopa letter threatening legal action. most businesses understand this.

good ideas.
I would nortmally start with the least forcefull action and gradually and continuously escalate. now i want to bring this to a conclusion as I need the cyccle.
I talked to my dad and he recomended contacting better buisness burea then consumer affair or soem branch of a higher level. and after that the local media.

first i need a copy of hte work order and document relating to the time its been there. I will talk to Jim as he listens. for the most part
unfortanatly the goons that hank out there are becoming hostile and some are coming to me with what apears to be a propaganda. a kid tells me a bs story of how much travis knows and several others do the same. this only reinforces my beleife it is intentional and deliberate sabotage. this other man threatened to shoot me. then keeps following me around. and his hand stayed in a pocket the whole time. he wouldent leave so i looked in his eyes, and saw fear. after he left I thought that the use of pawns by the shop is becoming more troublesome. previously travis the mechanic had fear in his eyes everytime i saw him and talked to him. he would leave quickly and retern with the smell of liqure omn his breath. I apears he knows what he is doing and is able to understand my thoughts. yet he persists in continuing to bring damage to the bike. it apears as if he is trying to push me to the point of reacting with violence. as he dose not stop pushing.
the date to finish it keeps passing. five months to change valve timing. and counting.
might have jim just bring the bike here and avoid a scene. otherwise i think the smartest thinkg would be to have a police escort when i retreive it.
