Have 99 but want the 01 headlights. Please help.
Hey guys-
I have the 99 zx9r with the single headlight of course. I like the look of the double light alot better, and want to know what are my options? Are ther kits for this, and how much would i be looking at? I heard there is some kind of overlay to get, is there any truth to this?

im looking into this conversion too.. it can be done. The 98-99 ducts will work they just don't have the lip on the bottom that sticks out. As far as everything bolting up ,yes it does,but you have to use the 2001 faring/headlight bracket(which I do have),eitherthe 98-99 or 2000-upfairing stay will work as will the mirrors. The only other mod that can be done but is only cosmetic is to epoxy a clip,toeach side fairingfor the center of the three sidescrews to attach to. This is not really nessacary because the top and bottom screws match and the fairings are all bolted to the bike so all those screws do is keep them from flaping at high speed and two per side is plenty.on the center one I just put a nut on the back of the screw to fill the hole. It kind of depends on what the bike does as to which onesI can sell.
that is what a guy told me who has a 2001 and a 99 zx9.. let me know if you figure anything out..
