in dire need of this part
Bike was recently laid down. Been breaking bank to repair it. Last bit of the puzzle I need is the left peg bracket for a 2000 zx9r. Anyone have any for sale or know where to get on for a decent price?

welcome to KF
I hear ya on the breaking the bank statement. Would aftermarket rearsets be more affordable on the long run? |
Thanks Jeff, I sent the request to join the group. Dragone what do you mean by rearsets, the part that broke was the peg bracket where I put my left foot to shift

philli, Drag^ is referring to an aftermarket footpeg assembly which is adjustable on the X-Y axis (pegs high/low, front/back.) For example, on my 9, I felt the original foot position was too low and forward....I felt like I was riding a "standard" upright bike, so I installed a set of Harris rearsets. There are a few different brands from which to choose. I like my pegs high and set toward the rear; almost like a "jockey."
You might find it's worth the cost, availability, #and adjustability# to go with some rearsets. They cost in the $100-300 range. Might even be some used sets out there, since the 9's are becoming relics... |
exactly as jeff mentioned.
I am a short f'er and prefer my ride a certain way. So I pretty much have chosen a brand of rear sets that actually last. Or, at least the parts are of quality. |
