man everyone is gonna hate me on here lol i keep askin questions and dont know enough to help anyone else.
but none the less as it said i have 2 questions for ya. first, and probably the worst, I would like to know how i may access my air filter?
secondly, is it normally for these bikes to crank for a lil bit b4 they start? i know the yamahas i have messed with would start right after u hit the button, i was wonderin if mine had a prob.

air filter is inside the airbox, underneath the tank. You gotta pull rear seat, front seat, tank off, in that order... then there is like 12 or 14 bolts holding the airbox in place. Unscrew those, undo the hoseclamps holding the ram air tubes in place, and teh cover comes off... I think there are either 2 or 4 bolts inside the airbox you need to pull in order to get the lower half off. If you pull the filter or lower half of the box - shove CLEAN rags down the carb throats to prevent any crap from getting into your cyls.
Both my zx7 and zx9 required a few seconds of cranking, choke on, to get started when it is cold. Just a few seconds... like 3 or 4... then it fires. Usually it will also run for a few secs, then shut down. Start it again, choke still on, let it idle for a couple minutes.
