hello, i have a 94 zx7 that was dropped and it cracked the front upper fairing and the right fairing, ive been looking for pieces to replace this and have had no luck, My next question is will the 96 up zx7 fairings fit? any modifications needed?? because i see these all over the place.

i'm not sure offhand if the 96-03 fairings fit perfectly.. i'm gonna say that they can be made to work with minimal effort.. if you're crafty, i know it can be done..

thres no plastic on e-bay? man..

try the parts dealers you see in the back of the bike magazines.. theyusually have the stuff... ift maybe the wrong color, but at least its plastic!

the same happened to mine, and i welded the plastic back together with a soldering iron.. that whole upper in my sig pic IS broken....on the clutch ide, the whole way around the headlight and halfway up to the screen.. all broken, and the lil piece between the headlight lenses.. took it apart, welded it up, and its been good ever since.

i have a 1990 zx7 i have completely swapped over 1996 zx7r fairings on with little to no mods

 

how much different is the upper? and will the 96 style headlights bolt up?

 

yes they will the upper and headlights were the hardest to do, tail section and side fairings pretty much went right on i had to go to the hard ware store and buy some metal to bend and make my own brackets but it didnt require any special tools or anyting

 

I already have a solo tail so Im not worried about that........I might just adapt the side fairings for now, my upper is in really good shape

 

I got a 1990 zx7 also, i have this 99 zx9r, am i able to switch our the fairings also? Would i need to switch out the subframe also?

 

What type of mods did you have to do to make it work? And did you have to buy any additional parts?
