Default What is this?

Why are there no forums on this site for the Ninja 750's? I am about to buy and could really use some help.

Anyone?

Looks like you found a forum on the ninja 750. What questions do you have?

Hello Dragone19. Well I am close to purchasing this bike. I am coming from a 09 ninja 250 so this is a big leap. Are there any problems with this bike? It would be nice to hear a review on it from someone who has owned one for many years.

Cheers

what yr are you looking at? I have owned the 88 ninja 750 for road trips. Great and dependable ride. Sold it for a 90 zx7 track ride which I still own. Just make sure that you are geared up and comfy with the 750. It does pull strong and can be heavy and a handfull if not prepared.

edit: the suspension is really soft and under damped, so when you feel up to pushing the ride, bump up the suspension springs, oil and other suspension internals for the forks. The rear shock is not worth re-modding generally.

Good luck with your decision

Thanks for the info Dragone. The one I am about to get is a 98' zx7R. I understand it is carburated. How often do you have to clean them? Are they tough to get to?

I have not worked on the carbs on the 98, but although it is a tight fit on the others' carb racks, they are actually fairly easy. But after the first cleaning, just drain the bowls to flush out water and other debris. and only need to do that maybe once a yr for winter prepping.

Hey I got the bike

Couple issues
Why does the fan stay on after the bike is off. The fan seems really rattly too.
