Default Rough Idle at normal temperature.

Hey guys, I went out today with the temp being around 75 F. While riding around town and coming to stop lights the bike would heat up to normal temperature which Im assuming is at the middle of the gauge. The fan comes on and the bike does not overheat but however it starts to idle a little rough at that temperature and it even requires more throttle on take off. It stalled on me twice. Once while taking off because it needed more throttle and once while I was just idling at the light. What do you guys think about this?

Thanks.

I've got the same issue!

My bikewas sent into the shop and sync'd professionally, The bike runs great when its cold, it runs fine when your moving, but it wont idle, when im comming to a stop it also likes to die.

I checked all the vacume lines, the plugs/wires are all new firing perfect, the idle is at 1150. In order for the carbs to be adjusted they are pressure set, so there couldnt possibly be a leak could there? the gasket was replaced. and if it runs amazing at all other speeds the carbs must be jetted right.

Isthe problem due to the air/fuel mixture at idle? Or is there something else wrong with our bikes.

amen.. my '00 does it as well, and i got the mechanical issues covered like a fat chick on a toilet seat..

tryin to figure something out.. thinking temp change throws A/F off to the point of leaning out alot.. i'll hook up a a/f meter up soon when i get a hold of an O2 sensor for it.. gauge and log temp and A/f with respect to ambient temp and humidity.

My bike is all better. Fixed!!!

Skip the tech. B.S. move that gas tank, clean the corrosion of your plug wires. if that doesnt work like in my case, spend .98 cents.

"GAP YOUR SPARK PLUGS"

fixed my bike and im set to go, its perfect now. idiots at the shop never gapped them one was at .024 as if it was dropped and 3 were at .030-.031
