pilot jet question

Hello all,
I have a 94 zx750that won't hold idle and sputters at low rpm throttle... i cleaned thecarbs, removed the main jets but my pilot jets sit flush with the aluminum body. There is no socket tip or screwdriver head on it just flat.Is therea special tool to remove these or am I just not seeing something? Thebikeran better after main jets were cleaned but still won't idle and low rpm sputter. I use compressed air and carb cleaner but I think they need to be removed to clean them better. Any ideas??? thanks in advance.. this site has been most helpful

RE: pilot jet question

hmm.. sounds like the slot is missing.. if it's the one i invision in my feeble mind, there should be a .050 slot across the top for a flat screw driver to fit in..

perhaps this is gone? the main should have a 8MM hex as well as a slot to separate the jet from the holder.

you could possibly dremel a slot into it if its accessable.. i'd hafta seethis.. not quite sure what options are available.

are the other carbs like this?

oh.. and welcome to KF!!!!
