Newbie Maintanance Question - Air Box

1994 ZX7,I need help getting to the air filter and spark plugs.

I have removed the gas tank, looking at the air box now. The boxhas vacuum hoses to it and about 6-7 screws that runthru the middle of it (on top). There seams to be a air filter cap on the side of the air box. Doesn't seem to lead to theremoval of the filter itself. I'm afraid to just lift the box off the carbs.

Would like toremove the air box to get to the spark plugs to replace them too.

Any info will be appreciated.

Thx

well, i have an 01 zx7, but they haven't really changed much on them since then. you should just have to unscrew those on the top that you mentioned. Then, you should be able to open up the air box where the air filter is (obviously). And again, i'm not sure how close mine is to yours, but then at the back of my air box there are 4 more screws next to the carbs that you take out and then you can just slip the rest of the air box off around the carb intakes to get to the spark plugs. The plugs are probably going to be down in like little shafts that you'll be able to get with a rachet and an extension.
