Ignition Switch Issue 99 ZX7R
So, I'm working on a friend's bike. He rides it home one day, takes the key out, and the lights stay on. It also will not start. After doing research, I decided it was most likely a bad ignition switch causing the lights to stay on when off and the key out and also causing no spark (hence not able to start). It still cranks.
So I told him to order a new one. He bought an aftermarket one on ebay and bought it for the wrong year (93-95) his is a 99. So I plugged it in, and it has the same problem. Lights stay on even without the key in it. I swapped internals of the switches, and also made sure the colors of the wires matched up. Any other areas on the bike I should check?
Thanks in advance.
