Fairing repair??

Hey, I was wondering if any of you have made repairs to your fairings instead of buying brand new ones. Did it work out ok? I was thinking about getting crafty with some fiberglass...I have a lot of cracks on my right fairing, and some heavy damage to the front fairing where the right turn signal is (was) connected.

first off MB that avatar is smoking hot[:-]i have seen people use the fiber glass. but like evil said the plastic welding kit is good and imo probally easier too. unless you know fiber glass well i would try plastic welding. thats just me tho.

Alright, I'll look into the whole plastic welding thing before I do anything. :)

Can anyone point me in the right direction for buying a plastic welding kit? I have some broken mounting points I'd like to fix.

Thanks

i had a couple of small cracks im mine when i painted mine this summer....i used a soldering iron to melt the crack back together, used a little two part spot putty to fix any low spots on the outside of the fairing, the bondo with the fiberglass in it on the inside, this stuff is a little messy but will strengthen everything a great deal. its easy to use, get the amount you think you will need out of the can, mix it with the hardener real good, should be like a brown color and get it on the fairing, i just used my fingers to spread it on in tight areas, about a 1/16 of an inch on the inside of your fairing will strengthen it a great deal, this stuff drys pretty quick too, i also used it to fill a hole in one of my fairings, cant even tell it was there any more, use a little acetone to get it off your hands and you will be in business....ill check back to see if you need any more help.

Is there anywhere that sells replacement upper fairings for 1990 ZX-750F Ninjas besides that airtech place?
