Default battery going dead

one night i was ridingand i thought my headlight was getting dim. the next day i was going to work and the bike died when i came to a stop. my buddy helped push start it. as long as the rpms was up it stayed running. my dad came by and got the battery charged up and put it back in to the bike. it started fine and rode about to my house qnd died again. the bike is a 1990 ninja zx750r f4. what would be the problem?

Default RE: battery going dead

Could be a couple of things. Listed as the most frequent to less frequent.

1: The battery
2: The generator belt slipping
3: The generator itself.
