Where do you guys buy your oil, and filters and other things that are needed for the bike? Whats the best brand? Im guessing at a local motorcycle shop, but havent looked into it yet.

Motorcycle shop/dealer if you want "motorcycle specific" oil, and filter.
I buy wix filters from O'reilly auto parts for my bikes and car. Wix makes very high quality filters. I my opinion, just stay clear away from anything that has the name FRAM on it. If you cut open a fram, and compare it to any other filter brand, you will see what I mean.
As far as oil is concerned, I just use castrol 10w40 on my bikes. People make good arguements for using motorcycle oils, but I don't see it as absolutely necessary.
