all of us down here in south ga are running the same times. no one can break into the 10's (except one guy and he ran a 10.49 but he rode professionaly) Anyone have any problems with the front end comming up off the line? i know bieks do it, but the 636 does it worse than any other bike out there

I saw on another forum that guys would just strap the front end down and that solved the wheelie problem. Best way too, strap when you get there, then undo for the ride home.

well a lot of the time ill put it on the trailor when i go (even though the track is less than 30 miles from my house) my gf and her 2 yr old girl go so puttin it on the trailor makes everything easier. i cant believe no one in here takes their sh1t to the racetrack!

well what are you pre loading the clutch at? (what rpms do you have it at when you launch?)

RE: whats your best 1/4 mile time?????

ive tried anywhere from 3,000 to 6,500 rpm. It either stands up or is sluggish... gets a little nerve racking after a while bc i dont know if i would rather burn the clutch up by letting it slip or taking the chance of flippin backwards.

I also put my bike up on the tailer.. you never know whats going to happen.. crash blow up... always go idea to have a way to get it home.

straping to front end is good way to help it out.. or you can slip the clutch a little more..

I don't strap the front end.. and I launch at around 5000

RE: whats your best 1/4 mile time?????

Last Friday went to the track and the first 2 passes were 11.24 and 11.25 at 122 MPH with 1.78 60 ft's. The 3rd pass had a bog and had a 1.70 60 and went 11.12 at 123. And that was only the 3rd pass ever on the bike at the track and that was launching at 8500. Front end strapped, lowering links, slip on pipe, up 3 teeth on the back. And this was at a corrected altitude of 8000 ft.

my best 60' is 1.7.. but mostly in the 1.8's

you will be suprised how much you can slip the clutches before they wear... I have about 20+, 1/4 miles runs.. and I dont even know where to start on clutched wheelies.. I'm guessing in the 1000's.. and my clutch is still very good..
