Default what should i do?

Ok ladies and gents...
Straight newbie, rookie mistake..went out, bought a 06 ninga after riding other bikes and taking the state saftey course. Took it out for a morning drive and laid it dont cause the car in front decided at the last minute brake and take left turn. Anyway the frame up front was cracked (the frame sliders were going on the next day) and other left side damage. noting too bad though, but expensive cause my insurance didnt go into effect until the next day. ( which they didnt tell me until I filed the claim)

Now the bike is runable but the frame is cracked. I had to charge the battery once I got the bike back. I took it out for ride on Labor day and the thing died on me, and my seat got really hot. (So it had something to do with the battery) So I pushed it to my girl's house. (hopefully its still there when I get off work)
My question is what should I do with the bike since its a 06 the replacement framing is going to be expensive. This is the cheapest aftermarket I saw.

I do still owe the bank, since I just got it in the beginning of june and the accident happened days before july 4th. Geico wont cover it. Should I get a aftermarket body kit and keep it, figure out why my battery gets hot and shutsoff, oh yeah find out why my horn and right turn signal doesnt work, (which is wierd since I laid it dont on the left side). Oh should I just *ahem...loose it. Since I do have comprensive... and start fresh for 07 with something used?

I know I'm learning my lesson...I should have gotten a used. But like the tow truck guy said when he brought it back to my house. Its noting more dangerous than a young guy with a good job, and good credit. "and mom you shouldn't blame the girl that cut your son off you should blame the guy that sold your son this bike..." is also what he said. (Mind you this is while I was forking over $700 just to get the bike to runnable condition, after paying 600 from getting it from the impound lot)

I will post pictures of the damage and my injuries...when I get to my home computers, and if someone tells me how to upload pictures.

If by your frame being cracked you actually mean the frame, to repair the damage to the bike you will basically be rebuilding it all over again. That's not something I would want someone to just weld and send me back on my way I'd never trust that frame again. Then again I don't trust many welds simply because of the fact I am possibly the worst welder ever and I have lots of experience with mine breaking lol.

I already pay high enough insurance rates so don't "loose it" either lol... I know of atleast one person on this forum with what sounds to be alot of extra parts he might be willing to sell you. Not sure if a frame is included in those parts or not. But you can rebuild it, better than before even lol... Sorry I miss that TV show.

post pics of the damage, look in the newbie section on how to post pics or you can just link them here with a photobucket url. i think by frame you are refering to the body work because theres no way in hell you cracked the frame and are still alive. i dont think your problem is as bad as it seems. post back ill try to come back on tonight and make heads or tells of it. as far as body work i have everything for your bike except the upper whitch i might be able to get another for the le. no big deal.

Don't want to sound a like a mommy but in case you haven't heard the golden rules to biking:

1. Never tailgate.
2. Always expect the drivers around you to do something COMPLETELY STUPID.
3. Stay the hell away from cars as much as possible.
4. Watch out for the possibility of a left turning car in either lane.
5. Never drive near the center divide on twisty roads. Too many cars and other bikes goof and go over the line there.
6. Never drive impaired.
7. Never loan you bike for a "quick ride" to someone you barely know.
8. Be cool and USE full riding gear. T-shirts are for morons. I have both a summer and winter jacket. The summer jacket is a mesh but has all the body armor (back, elbow, shoulder). worst case I leave it zipped halfway down. I live in a cool climate so it's easy for me to say this.

There are ton more do's and don'ts, good luck.

You'll need to take it to someone who has a frame straightening machine like a computrack once you get it repaired. Check with them and maybe they'll suggest staightening it before the weld. You must have hit pretty hard to crack it.

I think your calling your body work your frame. Plastics are doable, welding a frame is a little much for me. Take some pics and we'll see what we can do.
