im going to check out a 99 zx6r later this week and was wondering if you guys had any things that i should look for when i go?

Some general things is to check and see if the front forks are leeking. And check where all the dif. gaskets would be to see if you can see any oil. Looks like it's a clean bike so seeing oil discoloration shouldn't be too hard. Otherwise I'll give you the best advise on this subject that I can... If you're not a mech. or close take it to a local deal to have them do the once over before buying it. I even took my own advise on this when I bought my bike and they found some minor things and it worked out great in the end. It didn't cost me anything but in the future if it does I'll definately fork out a couple of $. Just my .02$
