Vortex framesliders save the day!

went up to Palomar mountain in san diego. had snow on the ground but not on the road. before the trip i dropped my bike in the parking of my friends house. my first drop on it. i have vortex framesliders and swing arm sliders. the only damage was the sliders front and rear and a little engine case damage. nothing blue got scratched. everythingwas pristine! here is the pic of it. i am sold on them for sure.
I cant believe I dropped my bike though. what a dufus!

try lowsiding at TWS.. frame sliders are worth their wieght in gold..... both lowsides at almost same speed and little or no damage to the sides. was using SATO sliders.

thanks Big!
i was hoping to help those who are on the fence about frame sliders to just do it. it isnt hard to do at all and will save lots of grief.
i am so glad i got the swing arm sliders too.

I agree. I made the same mistake. After falling from my own stupidity (Scratching the right lower fairing and breaking the rear brake lever) I got a pair myself. I have not had to use them yet but would have saved a lot by getting them in the first place.

hahaha, I am still on the fence on getting frame sliders. Most of my spills are 40mph +
To me protecting the frame and engine cases are my major concern. I can see the fuel cell being protected with sliders though.

Get the cut ones western31, the none cut ones suck and greatly reduce the protection to your bike.

Nice pics Dave, Polamar was my favorite place to ride, have you goine to Montazuma? It is about 20 miles from the top of the S. Grade where you took the second picture. Best 10 mile run around.
