Default Tailights dont work

I have an 06 ZX6r with custom license plate holder and lights. The turn signals are integrated with the taillight. However I had to cut the wiring for the license plate lights to change plates once I got my title from the old owner. So right now I dont have any license plate lights.

When doing this I noticed my tailights dont come on anymore. With the bike on and the brakes depressed the red tailights dont light but the amber turn signals will which are integrated into the taillight still come on.

The only 2 things ive done recently is take the fairings off to charge my battery and cutting the wiring for the license plate lights. I checked and I didnt cut any other wiring besides the ones that went into the 2 LED's for the license plate lights.

Any suggestions on what to check? Not sure if what I did killed the taillights

Isn't the tail lamp and the rear turn signals on different wiring in the harness?

NOt sure if there are any resistors the LED's were already installed when I bought them but I had to cut the wiring and take them out because you could not take off the nut holding the LED to the plate without cutting it.

So if they are on a different wiring harness then the ones I cut to the plate lights shouldnt effect the tailights right?

i would say start over, disconnect everything, connect each one at a time, test lights then keep going
