RE: stator cover ???
I replaced my stator cover a few weeks ago. Had a bad case of the RASH.
If you are replacing the cover, you will also need a stator cover gasket.
Place a oil pan under the cover because oil will come out. Remove all the bolts and lightly pry the cover off. You need to pull the cover straight out and you will feel like the cover is binding on something but it is just the magnetism of the stator holding the cover to the engine. There are 6 torx bolts holding the stator to the cover and a wire harness coming from the engine to the stator/cover. The torx bolt size was a 30 (if my memory is correct) and they are TIGHT. You will also need some loctite when you go back together on these bolts. Scrape the gasket off and reassemble. A light coat of silicone (yamabond) around the wire harness is suggested.
