Default SPROCKET SIZE QUESTION

how many teeth can i go up in the rear before i need to get a larger chain. I think i should be able to get away with at least two. anybody got any reviews on your sprocket size and how you like it. i was reading a post on here (cant remembeer who posted it) that he went down 1 in the front and up 5 in the rear. i want some more low end but that seems like a lot of top end loss. im riding 2007 zx6r. need opinions please.

I went down 1 in the front and up 2 in the rear. I'm not sure about how far you can go with the same chain. I've heard of people going up 2 in the rear and keeping the front stock and still using the same chain. generaly I would say change the chain but with your bike being so new it would kind of be a waste.

I would do the -1 +2 gearing, u will gain alittle more grunt down low and not loose a whole lot up top, and u will be able to run the stock chain aswell, consider your bike is a 07 and the chain is probly still good why replace it

Doesnt really matter to me. ive seen 160 on mine and i really dont need to go that fast. i would rather have some good low end grunt and loose a little on the top end. [8D]
