Default Sprocket Change

I have read in many posts that you guys change the sprockets. -1 in front +2 in rear etc,...whatever it may be... My question is what is the best change in front and back for a bike? And what do these changes do for the bike/rider itself. I guess I am asking whats the purpose?? haha i just have never known the actually reason. I mean I am 6'3" does this help a persons height out or is it just for riding reasons? Also where can I find the cheapest prices for aftermarket parts. Seat Cowls etc....? Thanks for the help

hey bro, changing the front will add more torque down low, basically will let u accelerate alittle harder from take offs and for clutchless wheelies if your 1 of them type, also going down 1 on the front is like addin 3 to the back, usually when u drop 1 on the front u had 1000 rpm to your mph u were at when u are runnin stock gearing, -1 +2 gearing is a good street / strip gearing with out sacrificeing alot off your top end, -1 +5 is a strip gearing and u will lose more top end with this gearing vs the -1 +2 tho

I've got -1 and +3 on my 03 636 just so I can wheelie it alot slower like at 3mph. it gave me alot faster take offs but whenever you change sprockets you get faster low end but lose top end speed. depending on what you want to do with your bike is what depends on what sprocket combo you want. Also throws off your speedo. you can fix that but it's not worth the price to me.
