question about coolant change
i just need a quick run down on how to drain and replace coolant in my 2003 636, and what kind of antifreeze to use. i wanna make sure my coolant system is in great shape b.c its really starting to get hot where i live. thanks
Since your bike has an aluminum radiator than make sure you get coolant made for aluminum radiators, some is made for any metal. The automotive stuff has a corrosive material that scurbs the inside of the old metal radiators but will eat a hole in aluminum. If you don't buy the ready mix just mix it 50/50 with water. I like to use WaterWetter with the antifreeze mix also. Since the bike isn't that old, you probably don't need to use a "flush" system but it is always good to do. It's another product that you mix with water and run in the cooling system for a little while and then flush it out with straight water.

does the engine ice offer good enough protection from freezing... being from NH it gets a little cold up here in the winters.
