Question!
It depends on what you want to do. Do you want to increase excel by changing the teeth count? Not sure what you are really asking? There is no benfit to just changing them out unless they are worn. Please supply more info.
Here is some info for ya.
1. Going down in the front and up in the rear in tooth count will increase excel but decrease top speed.
2. Going up in the front and down in the back in tooth count will increase top speed but decrease excel.
3. Steel sprockets last longer then aluminum sprockets but weigh more.
4. Aluminum sprockets wear faster then steel sprockets but weigh less.
4. The weight difference will not matter unless you are racing competively.
Hope this helps. If you are talking about brands that is the riders preference. Or if you want the best of both worlds you can do what I did and go with a tri-metal sprocket. Aluminum hub and steel teeth. Also if you change the tooth count your speed will be off. So a speedo healer would be a good investment as well.
