Your probably hearing the valves tapping. Nothing to worry about unless it's been a long time in between valve adjustment checks. Better to hear tapping than not.

I second that. It's just the valves tapping. Mine dose it too.

How many miles are on the bike? The ZX6R/RR's make the cam chain noise also along with the valve ticking. You can buy a replacement manual adjusting tensioner from kawasaki or ebayor modify the stock one. These are performance engines so to make it light, the engineis thin walled and you hear all kinds of ticking/ rattling sounds. The clutch make the rattling sound until you pull in the lever. Iheard the same thing when I first got my bike.

ninja's have always been known to be a little lound on the drive train thing nothing to worry about it's pretty common with our bikes. Every 636 i've riden has the same tapping sound. And like people have said it is the valves. I use sysnthetic oil which quieted he noise down a little on my bike.

Any bike with ram-air will have a louder ticking noise than others since the sound from the engine will travel right up through the intake. Put your ear next to the ram-air and you will really hear it.

It's normal, especially on a ninja. They still don't need to be touched for 24,000 + miles.

Any engine without having hydralic lifters will make a tapping sound. It's normal.
