PRICING new zx-6r????
I am planning on buying a brand new zx-6r in about a month.
msrp is 8999 but obviously thats not the price im going to pay.
what is a good price for the bike i should shoot for while negotiating??
what price has everyone else bought a new 6r for??
im not considering putting anything down towards the bike, i MAY trade in my '05 ex500 (or sell depending on what prices look like)
help me out. i was thinking about low balling for 7500-8000? is this a number i can shoot for or should i shoot lower/higher??
any input would be helpful. thanks guys

not really sure of a price, but with the popularity of the bike, the price you are low balling will get you laughed out the door. You may get a hundred or two off, but not much more. Maybe this time next yr.
Oh wait, if that price (7500-8000)includes the trade, then your price is a lil high. Good luck though. And def give us a good review on the bike.

Actually, I am surprised that your dealer even has an 06 6r still left. Of course was also surprised that there were 2 06 10r's leftat my dealer. I asked for the price on the left overs and was told "Kawasaki has not released a reduction in prices yet." You may have a hard sell/buy happening.
If you are talking about a 2007, maybe 8,400 plus taxes. It is a brand new model and dealer may want to wait for the "I-must-have-it-at-any-price" customers. If you are trading in, you may get it for less since the dealer may plan on doing a little money on the trade.
If it is an '06 (636), I would not pay more than 7,800. The model is gone an at this time it is a "discontinued" model.

well im dealing with a small, new dealership that ive done all my business through, and im returning to them as well, and sending word of mouth business to them.
so im thinking they will bend some on the price as they dont seem to be out to screw me over, they just want to make an honest sale.
so im thinking ballpark acceptable deal i would go for is around 8000, highest i would be willing to go is knocking 10% off the total price, bringing the price down to like $8099.
but i might lowball and see what they say since im a loyal returning customer, and they have really been good and worked with me in the past.
oh by the way if anybody is around iowa/nebraska, the dealership is holtz kawasaki, and i would highly recommend them.: )

You never said if it was and 06 or 07? so which one would it be? If it is a left over 06 you can should get the bike out the door for 8000. if it is an 07 then you might have some trouble with that. let us know either way. and good luck happy safe riding....
If it is a 07 and based off the 8999msrp you quoted it sounds like it is,then you should be happy if you get 500 off msrp. If you go in there asking for 1500 off you will be laughed out of the store. However if it is a 06 shoot them a $7500 dallor offer and see what they say. You should be able to get an 06 for 8000 fairly easily tho.

tempting sup_uni, wouldn't mind an 04 or 05 10r. Checked out the 07 6r's today. Nice looking ride, but the looks started me to think it was a yami design. msrp of just shy of $9k
