get some race glass like sharkskins and lose all the smog bs and electrical that you do not need. Even the cluster can go and just run the tacho.
She is going to be an awesome track bike. I would luv to get a new track bike but I am happy with the ole 95 zx7n for now.

 

Track skins get picked up Friday evening. Getting some used ones off a guy I know. I am keeping the speedo/tack, but everything else is going........

Yea she will be sweet for sure, what color are you going to go with and are you going to upgrade the suspension?

 

I would MUCH rather sell as a set, but I do have everything listed as by the piece in the classified section. I would be more than happy to cut a break price wise for a complete sale since it simplifies things. Basically, this is a first come first served deal, so if someone springs for a fairing, I will sell just a fairing. That pretty much dictates the rest of the stuff!

Suspension? I have put a couple hundred miles on it on the back roads around my house (The bike only has 236 miles on it now.....) and I firmly feel that the tires are killing the handling right now. It turns in slow, but holds a line well once in the corner, whereas the CBR just flicts right into anything you can think of. Almost TOO fast. I am not gonna touch the suspension until I get new tires on it, and I can't ride it right now anyways, so once again, it will be a while...... Bottom line is that I KNOW it will need at least springs in the front, but I really can't sort it out until I can ride again, so for now I am prepping it otherwise. I will probably go ahead and set the sag, and that will tell me where I sit so far as the springs are concerned, but I just have not done it yet. Figure at LEAST 6 months after my knee surgery until I can even TRY to ride again! After that, we'll see about doing track again, and THEN we can get on with things suspension wise. I might let me son track it, but I really need to be able to get a baseline in it before I let him. He is doing a track day next month, but on the SV.

Colors? I am planning on retaining the black tank, black uppers, and go with Kawi green on the lowers and the lower section of the tailcowl from the beltline down. The way the lines angle down match nicely with the track lowers, so that should look good. I will probably do the fender in balc with green lowers as well. Similar to this......

 

Looks sic bro. Like the color scheme. You get my vote for garage of the month if one was up.

 

What I plan is a tad more subtle than that with two colors vice three and no fade work. Not even sure if I am going to do number plates since my track orginization does not require them......

 

Myfriend got tired of swtching his R-1 to the track so he found one on e-bay. Having 2 bikes is having your cake and eating it too.
