no oil pressure
 
i have 02 zx6r and have replaced the head timing chain. after doind so the bike ran great for about a day then i started losing oil pressure. when i took the oil pan off the pickup was clogged with a peice of a rag that i must have dropped in the oil pan{i know i'm a dumb as* but that is beside the point} after i cleaned out the pick and started the bike back i now have no oil pressure at all
help!!'

hmm, ok dumb arse. Maybe other passage ways are now plugged with debris? Not sure, but good luck on the cleaning/troubleshoot.

ok let me be more clear i have no oil pressure a the first port after the pump where you can put a pressure gauge
and i don't need comments just to bust on me

lol, I understand. Then check out your manual, it may be best understood then..

that sucks. sounds like you might need to get the motor flushed to get the debris out if it.

in the front of the engine there is an oil pressure sensor take that off and you should be able to do it from there on zx6r it work hopes that helps, yeah wheir suppose to be helping each other on this site not making dumb comments

Is this the 02 bike with the 98 engine you just bought to replace the 02 engine that had oil pressure problems???

Sometimes it takes a while to build up oil pressure unless you toasted your oil pump. try loosening the oil filter just a little (don't remove it) and cranking the engine until oil flows, they tighten it an run it. Make sure the oil pick-up tube isn't clogged.

yeah i've cleaned out the pick up and yes i also have the 98 engine but i have messed with it yet just had surgery on my hand
