Default Need For Speed!!!

Today at work I had to go make a service call for one of our customers and the boss said I could take my bike..[sm=groupwave.gif]

I thought that was a great idea and was all for it.. On my way back from the call I just had to see what I could do, It was a perfect day for it. No wind and the weather was perfect..

I jumped on the freeway and took off, [sm=gears.gif] running through the gears and flat getting it.. First try I got to run it up to 125 before I had to slow down for trafic, On my second try I got to run it up to 156 and I was pumped..[sm=happy046.gif]

That is the fastest I have ever been and I couldnt stop smiling.. I was really suppised at how smooth it was and wish I didnt catch up to trafic.. I wanted to see what top end would be.. I think I still have a couple thousand rpms left.. So what is top speed on the o3 zx6r 636? [sm=feedback.gif]

I hope no one here condems me for my behavior because I dont romp on it all that often..[sm=innoc.gif] I usually just cruise to work and thats pretty much all.. Safe riding Chris

Its a blast getting to open it up isnt it. You should look up what the actual top speed is. I have seen 170 on my bike but it only goes 160 so. But I would be interested in seeing what the 636s can do I would like to buy one.

I agree with you Dudek12. It is a blast as long as there are no 5O's around. ZWild. I had mine up as far as 160 on the speedometer before I let off the juice. Got to dang scarry with a curve coming up. Oh yeah by the way mine is an 04 but I don't think much has changed between the 03 and 04.

I have had mine up to 163 (indicated) before I let off. The 04's are faster due to some mods like bigger valves & cylinder work. And the 05's are even faster!

I agree its just not safe on the freeway or worse on country roads. To many things can happen. Not to say I am nit guilty as hell for doing it too, I have posted before "why is my bike so comfortable at 125mph" and it is.

Best to take it to the track though.

Ride safe and gear up.

I want to race my bike at the Moroso 1/4 mile out here, but I don't have the required gear to do it. Textile Armored Jackets are not allowed. You have to have a Full Leather Jacket to get on the strip. I really don't have room in the budget for racing leathers at the moment, so I guess I'm stuck with late night freeway action on I-95, lol.

Yeah I know its not the smartest or the safest thing I can do.. Like I said I dont do it that often and I guess I just had an itch that needed to be scrached.. I wish I had a good 1/4 mile track or a speed track that I could do it on.. That would be a total blast.. Safe riding.. Chris
