my ninja will not turn HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 

hi i hope some one can help me with my bike a 1987 ninja zx600r.i got my bike and started to work with it at first it did turn.Then i saw that no fire was getting to the engine i replaced the coils after that nothing happend.i then changed out the starter selinoid,only a klicking noise would occur.i focused my attention to the starter and, had it checked it was in good working order.I replaced it and it still makes the same sound,like if it doesn't want to turn.I also tried to push start my bike and the back tire just locks.My ninja is very bad ass looking with chameleon color and crome wheels.I would hate to get bad news about its engine. any info would help,were do i look next to fix (HER) THANKS

If you're saying it won't turn over yet the starter tested good, how did you test the starter then? If you took the starter off the bike and put a twelve volt source directly to it, that doesn't' always prove your starter will turn over the engine. There is no load on it while off the bike, so many bad starters can still spin. If your battery is in good shape, you may want to replace the brushes and bushings in the starter.

Make sure you have a good battery.

When you push start what gear are you in? 3rd is good and so is 2nd but 1st can be hard and make the rear just drag.

OH, I almost forgot. If your bike is equipped with a neutral saftey switch on your clutch lever kickstand, or both, make sure they are in good working order.
