Default My engine shut off today as I gave it a good amount of gas..

I was in first gear going about 30mi then I gave it a good amount of gas so I can lift the front to feel how it is. I dont know if I lifted or not cuz i never done this before but after about 3sec of hard acceleration my bike's engine shut off in frist gear so my back wheel locked up but my front was still moving so it dragged my rear tire. I thought I was going to fall but I quickly pulled the clutch and pulled over. Do you guys know what would cause this? The main power mod i have is the Akra exhaust. Someone from kawiforums said maybe I pushed the kick stand down and it triggered the engine to die. What do you guys think? After I pulled over the bike started up with no problems.

side stand is a possibility but sounds funny to me. Have you tried it again or what.

I've heard of this... Your piston return springs aren't torqued correctly, causing your rotator splints to be mal-aligned. Which there in turn disrupts your reed valves causing all kinds of issues with your compression, causing vapor lock. To unlock it, you need to order a special key from kawi to insert into your head which will release the pressure....

Have your tried it again to see what happens, if it does it drepeatedly you have yourself a problem. If it was just the one time then it could have been a random incidence... I had an issue about it popping into neutral while wheelieing, then come to find out I was unknowingly tapping my gearshift throwing it into neutral... On simple thing to check is that your kick stand sensor is tight, and that your kick stand spring is nice and tight with no play as well

It wasnt my kill switch forsure cuz I started my bike up again and did not have to turn it on. Hey if im riding and I push the kick stand just a little bit will it kill my bike? I think this is what happened... I am going to ride and push the kick stand out a little to see if it dies.
