These bike are Hi-Performance and run High Compressions usually above 12:1. I wouldn't run anythig less than Super Unleaded 91 and above. You can run lower grade but you'll be defeating the purpose of a Hi-Performing machine because the knock sensor will retard the timing when it senses knocking and you will lose power. My Honda Accord knock & pings on 89 octane and it probably has 10.5:1 compression ratio or less. The higher the compression, the higher octane you should use or you will detonate the engine and cause catastrophic engine damage. Seen it done by people running low grade or cheap quality Gas.
Run whatever the owners manual says. The lowest octane that doesn't ping will make the best power and have the best mileage. Running higher octane then needed is just wasting money and won't make more power.

i tossed some 100 oc avgas in my bike for a mountain run and she flew!!!! no new noises but could defenetly tell it had more pickup. the av-gas left my pipe coated white though so that was the last time cuz normaly that means running lean im pretty sure
