humming noise after engine shut off
 

Hey your - i recently noticed humming noise coming from the bike after i shut off the engine - is this the radiator or something working after the bike shuts off? Any input would be great - thanks.

That would be the fan. Once you turn the bike off the fan will stay on for a min or so.

i have a 2006 636, and i have a humming noise after shutting it off too. Mine comes from the gas tank lid. Its always done it. It only does it sometimes. I just open the gas tank lid, let the pressure out, and close it.

If it's coming from the lower front, it's probably your radiator fan when the bike is hot. What was the temp gauge readingbefoer you shut it off? Anything above the 210 - 220 range, the fan should kick on automatically.

Mine hums too after I ride. It says " Hmmmm go faster you p*ssy!

Mine makes a jetlike noise; kind of a zingy whistle sound. Sounds like one, Goes like one too![8D]Gotta love that sound. I don't think I'm ever going to get rid of/ sellthis bike. I'm keeping it forever!

Yeah, like to. Only put 2k on it so far. Pulled a lil one about 6inches fron 2nd to 3rd. Didn't even know til the front twitched. ha-ha Then again I've hit the ground so many time on my dirt bike so I think I'll learn real slow on the street.
