How to take off/on rewheel
It's time to replace the rear tire and my local shop will only do it with the wheel off the bike. I've had to adjust the chain befor but I have never had the wheel completely off the bike befor. Is there a How To: write-up on the subject? Any help would be appreciated. This is for a 05 ZX6r.
If the '05 is similar to the '02...
1. Put the bike on rear stand.
2. remove cotter pin and nut on left side.
3. loosen adjustment nuts/bolts
4. slide wheel forward and remove chain from sprocket
5. push axle through the swingarm until you can pull it all the way through the right side
5. Rear wheel will slide out (be careful of rear brake, you may need to remove it as well)
I think that is right, I am not looking at the bike right now so I may have forgotten something. I'm sure someone will call me out on it if I did :-)

I think zzrick has covered it all. It is really pretty easy job and you shouldn't have a problem with it. If you don't have a rear bike stand you can hang your bike from the ceiling like I did.
whoa that looks scary bro. are those the ratchet kind of straps?
wow now I have seen everything lol
Yea they are, I ratchet the bike up about a half inch and then lock the straps. I have been doing this the last three years and it works great.
