Honda HP4 oil?

Hey what's up fellas? I currently have Mobil 1 synthetic oil in my bike but the guys at the dealer keep telling me to change it to motorcycle oil. So it's time for an oil changed and i've bought this Honday HP4 (new formula) Synthetic/petroleum blend (without moly). Do you guys have any feedback on this product?

try the shell rotella 5w40 synthetic, it's good stuff and it cost 16.00 for the blue jug at walmart

RE: Honda HP4 oil?

I use Mobil1 Racing 4T which used to be known as MX4T and is one of the few fully synthetic oils that is designed for motorcycles. After 3,000 miles on the oil, it still has a medium brown color and is slippery on my fingertips which tells me it is still doing it's job.

Everyone can argue their own points, but I never have used car oil in a bike and never will. Plenty of people will say they have been using automotive oil for years and have tons of miles on their bikes but they don't see those microscopic differences. I also had a 91 ZX-6 with 44,000 miles still on the stock clutch, if I had used auto oil there is no way that clutch would have lasted. To each his own...

BTW, my father has been using that HP4 oil in his 98 CBR900RR since he bought it new. 47,000 miles and it is still going strong. Stock clutch, Factory jet kit, full two brothers exhaust...

Never use shell rotella its diesel oil it sucks, it will cause major engine damage!!!!!!!![:@]Use motorex 4t full synthetic it is the best oil out of any real life tests, I work for KTM and thats all we can use, visit their website Motorex.com . I am a believer of this stuff I use it and it makes my bike run cooler and shift better.....

Ok fellas thanks for the replys! I put the juice in her today, so far so good, she shifts smooth and has good power! I was wondering is it bad to go from full synthetic car oil to motorcycle synt blend? i want to stay with full synth after this oil change and i'm looking into that MX4t

No, it should be fine as long as you drained ALL the old stuff out first. Just be consistant with all your oil changes here after and it should treat you right
