I got it to start but is very slugish through 7-13k rpms. pilot screws are 2 full turns out. I setting them to 2.5 and I am going to give that a try.

I do have the tool and they have been synced

thanks

Its a carbed system so it really doesnt need much fuel pressure at all. The fuel pump is unneccessary until you start sucking fuel out of the tank faster than it would naturally flow. If there is fuel in the bowls it will start regardless of whether or not the pump is working.

Well funny thing, after all the time I spent it was the F&*k#$g battery. It was weird, at first it wouldnt fire unless I had the choke on then I pulled the air filter off and it fired right up. So that got me going in the wrong direction. Everything is fine in the motor. I noticed my battery was getting pretty hot the last time I took it apart. hotter then it should ever get. I tested the stator, perfect output. tested the battery when the bike was on after testing the stator and it was good then tested it when the bike was off, all good. Okay so im pissed I couldnt get it fixed. I through my ohm's meter against the wall and walk out madder then I have been in years. I left the bike the way it was. a few days later when my pride wasnt infront of me I went and bought a new ohms meter and went into garage. I just decided to see if my new ohms meter was working and tested the battery, 11.18. so I charged it all night and came out the next day. it started right up. no prob at all. it ran fine, reved fine, idled fine. I shut it down and waited about 8 hours and came back battrey was back to 11.18.

I pulled that F-ing thing out and chuked it.She runs from the cops like a dream.lol

Congrats on the fix on the lower rpms. But the charging system is key for higher rpms to maintain the battery.
