Help Quick Opinion on Older Bike

I know i'm posting this in the most random place. It's not even a Kawasaki but a 1978 Suzuki GS400. I just feel at home here in this space i think. (: Who knows. I am thinking of purchasing a 1978 Suzuki GS400 it's in...perfect condition too. Cosmetic wise and running wise. I know the person who currently using it is still using it.The only thing is, he's asking 1,500 and here KBB for it is around 600.00. What do you think is a fair price?

seems really steep. my first bike was gonna be an 82 GS850 for $400 but i let my buddy (his bike) sell it do some dude looking for parts for $725. sweet running and sounding bikes tho, i like them.

Find a used Ninja 500 for around $1500. It's a great bike and wil smoke the GS. And it'll be a Kawasaki!
